Tennis legend Roger Federer live on stage with Coldplay (video)

Coldplay’s Brits caused a surprise at their concert in Zurich on Sunday evening, July 2nd. They brought none other than former Swiss tennis pro Roger Federer onto the stage for one track. The native of Basel played the percussions on the Coldplay classic “Don’t Panic”.

The band around Chris Martin is currently on their big “Music of the Spheres” tour all over the world. They got a few other artists on stage to play live with them. These included, for example, rapper Lupe Fiasco, Bruce Springsteen and Lauren Mayberry, the singer of the band Chvrches. However, Grand Slam winner Federer is the first athlete to receive this honor.

Federer and Coldplay published videos and photos of the unusual collaboration on their social media accounts. The retired tennis star captioned a picture with the group and his wife Mika: “A once in a lifetime adventure”.
