The German tennis duo defeated Miyu Kato from Japan and Aldila Sutjiadi from Indonesia in a thriller in 2:37 hours on Thursday 7: 6 (7: 3), 5: 7, 7: 6 (14:12). In the decisive set, Niemeier (22) and Petkovic (34) were twice behind with a break, but fought back and harmonized splendidly to the end.
