Sabalenka won 6-2, 6-4 against the American Madison Keys and was the first player to reach the semi-finals in the individual competition. The 25-year-old Belarusian, also in the top four in 2021, was not allowed to play in Wimbledon last year because of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine.
