Nowak Djokovic has made it into the final against Nick Kyrgios in Wimbledon after beating British tennis hope Cameron Norrie.

Djokovic prevailed on Friday (July 8th, 2022) on Center Court in Wimbledon against number 9 seeded Norrie 2: 6, 6: 3, 6: 2 and 6: 4. The Serb can thus continue to dream of the fourth success in a row after 2018, 2019 and 2021 in the classic lawn.

In the final on Sunday, top seeded Djokovic will meet Australian Nick Kyrgios. Overall, he has reached the final at Wimbledon for the eighth time since 2011 and is aiming for his seventh tournament win at the All England Club. With a triumph, Djokovic could celebrate the 21st Grand Slam title of his career and thus overtake Roger Federer.

Kyrgios made it through to the final at Wimbledon without appearing after his opponent Rafael Nadal had to pull out of the tournament before the semi-finals due to an abdominal muscle injury. After the victories in Melbourne and Paris, the Spaniard missed the chance to win the title in the third Grand Slam tournament of the year.
