Barbara Rittner will remain head coach for women and young women in the German Tennis Association (DTB) until at least the end of 2023.
The association announced on Tuesday. The 48-year-old Rittner was the captain of the German Fed Cup team from 2005 to 2017 and has been the first national coach in the tennis association with the largest number of members in the world since 2009.
“Barbara Rittner has a wealth of experience both as a player and as a national coach,” said DTB President Dietloff von Arnim: “That makes her an excellent candidate for this position, and we are very happy that she will continue to use her skills will bring in the DTB. “
Rittner stated that she was “proud and highly motivated to continue to bring me into a responsible position for the DTB”. She does this “with clear ambitions. In the past I have always been driven by values such as passion, discipline, perseverance and ultimately a love of tennis.”
