Jan-Lennard Struff from Warstein followed his Cologne Davis Cup colleague Oscar Otte to the round of 16 at the ATP tournament in Sofia.
Struff won his opening match against the Serb Dusan Lajovic 4: 6, 6: 3, 6: 2. In the round of the top 16, the 32-year-old meets the French qualifier Ugo Humbert.
Otte had already reached the round of 16 on Tuesday. After his first round win against Swede Dragos Madaras, the 29-year-old has to play Poland’s Kamil Majchrzak in the next round. In addition to Struff and Otte, there are no other Germans in Sofia.
