Tendon injury in the thigh: Juventus Turin without new signing Zakaria for a few weeks

Ex-Gladbacher

Winter newcomer Denis Zakaria (25) will not be available for Juventus Turin in the next few weeks. As the Bianconeri announced on Monday, the former Gladbach player suffered a tendon injury in his left thigh in Saturday’s game at FC Empoli (3-2) and will be out for around 20 days. As a result, the defensive midfielder will be absent from the Serie A club for at least the next four games, including the Coppa Italia semi-finals and the Champions League round of 16 second leg against Villarreal. The first leg ended 1:1.

Zakaria switched from the “foals” to the Italians for 8.6 million euros just under a month ago and has since made five appearances in which he has scored a goal. With the Swiss national player, the “old lady” laments the current sixth injury. Alex Sandro (31), Weston McKennie (23), Federico Chiesa (24), Paulo Dybala (28) and Kaio Jorge (20) are also missing from coach Massimiliano Allegri’s squad and thus professionals worth 196 million euros.
