Ten Young Ajax take point thanks to late penalty Hlynsson

Young Ajax has drawn against FC Dordrecht in a goal-rich match. On a visit to Dordrecht, the home team seemed to be going to win, it was 3-1 after sixty minutes. The Ajax players fought back and Kristian Hlynsson scored a point with a late penalty kick: 3-3.

The team of coach John Heitinga dominated in the initial phase and had more ball possession than FC Dordrecht. Christian Rasmussen had several chances, but the Dane was not focused. On the other side, a bet by Mathis Suray hit the post. After just over half an hour of play, sixteen-year-old Silvano Vos gave Jong Ajax a deserved lead. The midfielder made his basic debut at De Krommedijk.

The joy was short-lived, however, because Dordrecht took the lead in no time. Suray scored the equalizer, after which Alessio Miceli scored 2-1. Ar’jany Martha and Rasmussen tripped Dordrecht, but the team didn’t fall. Their chances failed to score before half time.

Resilient Young Ajax

Despite several opportunities for Jong Ajax, the home team expanded the margin after fifteen minutes in the second half. Jacky Donkor scored a goal behind his standing leg: 3-1. The answer from the Amsterdam promises was not long in coming, because Rasmussen did not fail eye to eye with Liam Bossin two minutes later: 3-2.

The match seemed to have been played five minutes before time after a direct red card for Jong Ajax substitute Steven van der Sloot. He took down a Dordrecht player who had broken through. Despite this, the hosts conceded a penalty in stoppage time. Kristian Hlynsson got behind the ball and shot his team to 3-3.
