During excavation work on the Iepenlaan in Zuidlaren, a gas pipe came loose this evening, causing a gas leak. In addition, a water pipe also burst, leaving the street flooded. Ten houses have been evacuated. The residents of these homes must find temporary shelter with family or acquaintances.
The fire brigade is working to close the leak. The street is therefore completely closed. According to the police, there is a significant smell of gas.
