Ten Hag ‘very happy’ with departure to Manchester United

Ajax coach Erik Ten Hag says he is very happy with his switch to Manchester United. He said that after the mediocre game against NEC. “That’s why I made the choice.”

Brian Brobbey, who was good for the winning goal against NEC, said he was happy for Ten Hag when asked. “It is a very good step. He really deserves it after everything he has accomplished at Ajax. I am happy for him if he takes me with him in two years”, the attacker joked.

Ten Hag said he does not want to dwell too much on what he will miss once he has left for Manchester. “I only think about how beautiful it is and how much I enjoy driving to the club every day, because I have a very nice working environment.”

Although Ajax is back on the bus to Amsterdam with three points, Ten Hag believes that his team should have played better against NEC. “Certainly on the right side. In the first half the field occupation was certainly not good, but we certainly played well on the left.”

Brobbey briefly commented on his winning goal: “We kept the faith in it. I got a good ball from Nico, a header chance, then I believed that I would make one, or someone else.”
