It could just be a very nice Sunday for Ajax. The team of coach Erik ten Hag can become national champion for the 36th time in club history. That is the case when Ajax wins the North Holland derby from AZ and Feyenoord defeats PSV later in the day. Ten Hag does not want to know anything about festivities yet and is only concerned with the match in Alkmaar.
Against AZ, Ten Hag can again have Steven Berghuis, Noussair Mazraoui, Edson Álvarez and Devyne Rensch. They had doubts after the home game against PEC Zwolle. For Ryan Gravenberch, Antony, Lisandro Martínez and Perr Schuurs is the season over†
Ten Hag thinks that he does not have to put his players on edge for the squatter against AZ. “The players are busy with each other. They are hungry, competitive and the atmosphere is good. They are ready.” With three games to go, Ajax has a four-point lead over number two PSV.
After this season, the Ajax coach will leave for Manchester United. This week the video below appeared on social media. Ten Hag has seen it and thinks it is funny.
AZ – Ajax starts on Sunday afternoon at 2.30 pm. Flashes of the match can be heard live in an extra long radio broadcast by NH Sport. Competitor PSV kicks off against Feyenoord in Rotterdam at 4.45 pm.
