Ten dead and three injured in US shooting with possible racist motive NOW

At least ten people were killed and three injured in a shooting in New York state on Saturday. The suspected shooter has been arrested. He would have a racist motive, American media report.

Shocking images of victims can be seen in photos and videos. Several were allegedly shot in the head. Five victims lie in the parking lot outside the store. At least two injured are said to be in bad shape.

Racist motive

The shooter is said to have broadcast the shooting live on the social medium Twitch. He is also said to have put a manifesto of more than a hundred pages online, in which he describes himself as an eighteen-year-old who is convinced of the superiority of white people. He is also said to have anti-Semitic views.

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown has confirmed the suspected shooter has been arrested. According to Brown, he came from outside Buffalo and spent hours on the road to the neighborhood where predominantly black Americans live. Eleven of the thirteen victims are black, the authorities report.

The FBI is also investigating the shooting and suspects the suspected shooter of a “hate crime” and “violent extremism with a racial motive”.

According to witnesses against Buffalo News one of the dead victims was a retired police officer who worked as a security guard at the supermarket. Another witness says he heard about 70 shots.

A White House spokesman said President Joe Biden had been informed about the shooting and that he is praying for the victims.
