Visitors walk through the protected monument past richly decorated rooms full of Christmas trees, hundreds of parcels and thousands of lights. The preparations take months, although the actual conversion takes just four days. “We do the decoration itself in 96 hours. The weekend before, the castle was still completely in Sinterklaas atmosphere,” says organizer Nick Blontrock.
