During the corona crisis, it was decided that every temporarily unemployed person would be notified with an offer from the VDAB. This includes volunteering, training and temporary jobs. A survey shows that 42 percent agreed.
However, the VDAB was hindered by its policy because the temporarily unemployed were not obliged to register with the service. That has now been adjusted. Since 30 September, this obligation has been published in the Official Gazette.
