Since September 2019, work has been underway on the first phase of the Kortrijk Station Project in the area around the Appel, Zandstraat and Conservatoriumplein intersections. This involves the construction of a bicycle and bus tunnel, a car tunnel, an underground parking lot and the construction of a new square. The car park opened in October and on December 15 it was the car tunnel’s turn. Now there is a temporary solution pending the completion of the bicycle tunnel.
