Temporary in CABA: street closures, level crossings and the most affected neighborhoods

Due to the strong storms in the AMBA, which affect the city of Buenos Aires and surrounding areas, an orange alert is in effect for the remainder of the day, according to reports from the National Metereological Service. So far, according to the organization, almost 100 millimeters have fallen in some Buenos Aires neighborhoods, such as Slaughterhouses, Palermo and Avellaneda Parkin the report made at 7:30 am.

The heaviest rainfall was concentrated in Avellaneda Park. The western neighborhood, with almost 60 millimeters in 1 hour, set the fall record. Seven cases of street closures due to falling branches were also recorded since 5 am, four of them affecting traffic. There are two in the Commune 11, two others in the Commune 13one in the Commune 14, one in the Commune 12another in the Commune 5 and one in the Commune 2.

All of these incidents were reported to the CUCC and crews are already working to remove them. As for the level crossings, all of them are free of flooding. Additional controls were placed on the following: PBN Elcano, PBN Arias, PBN Congreso, Av Libertador and Campos Salles, Av Libertador between V Loreto and Teodoro García, PBN Salguero, PBN Sarmiento, Av. Santa Fe and Ángel Justiniano Carranza, PBN Del Formentista, PBN San Martin, PBN Yatay and PBN B. Miter and Jean Jaures

Finally, and as a precaution, it was decided to close the driver’s license service headquarters in Rock Park so that equipment is not endangered, and also for the people who must travel there.
