April, April, who does what he wants. This old farmer’s rule also applies this year. The past few days have brought us a mix of blissful spring sun, cold rain and icy wind.
But here’s the good news for all sun-seekers: friendly weather is expected on Thursday.
Until the weekend it should be changeable again, according to qualified meteorologist Dominik Jung (45) from the weather service Q.met to the BZ, but: “On Monday there will be a stable mix of sun and clouds with temperatures up to 15 degrees”, says Young.
After that it goes uphill continuously: Tuesday and Wednesday 4 to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday 18 to 20 degrees.
Great weather then for the weekend 22./23. April: The barometer even climbs to 20 to 25 degrees. “The first days of summer this year,” says Jung happily.
It is made possible by a powerful omega high crossing central Europe. A few clouds will pass from time to time, but mostly sunny weather prevails – there are hardly any showers.
“However, late night frosts can still occur until the beginning or middle of May,” Jung points out.
