The red card that coach Mike Snoei received last Friday in the final phase of Telstar against Willem II (0-0) will result in a one match suspension. As a result, the born Rotterdammer is not allowed to interfere with the first team in the away match against MVV Maastricht next Friday, and he will have to take a seat in the stands.
At the end of the match, Snoei was agitated about what he considered to be an unauthorized time-wasting of Willem II. With a 0-0 score, referee Alex Bos stopped the game for a head injury, while Snoei thought that was unjustified. The trainer also stepped a few meters into the field. According to Snoei because he wanted to know why he got the red card.
AZ without Hatzidiakos
The disciplinary committee of the KNVB also imposed a one-game suspension on AZ defender Pantelis Hatzidiakos. He received his fifth yellow card against Ajax (0-0) and will therefore miss next Sunday’s home match against FC Emmen.
