After the defeat against FC Eindhoven (0-1) Telstar coach Andries Jonker told about De Graafschap’s interest. The trainer recently had an exploratory conversation with the Achterhoekers. “De Graafschap is a wonderful club in the Netherlands.”
“I’ll hear more soon,” says Andries Jonker about the conversation in Doetinchem. “I’m orienting myself and De Graafschap is doing that too. For the time being, I’m waiting and I’m also waiting to see what Telstar wants, because I like it here.”
Four candidates
The future of the coach is therefore still unclear. Jonker is in his third year in Velsen-Zuid and has already spoken with Telstar director Pieter de Waard. The native of Amsterdam previously indicated that the ball is in Telstar’s court. At De Graafschap, Jonker should succeed Reinier Robbemond, who was fired earlier. According to the Gelderlander Jan Vreman, René Hake and Adrie Poldervaart are also in the picture at the Superboeren.
