With two games to go, the end of the season is approaching for Telstar. “If you have to make up the balance, it has been very difficult and ultimately disappointing,” said trainer Andries Jonker.
“We don’t want to be where we are now,” the trainer continues. Jonker puts forward several reasons for Telstar’s poor performance. Telstar, for example, has had many injuries throughout the season. Jonker also indicates that it has been lacking an experienced player. “It’s all together. You can’t say it was because of corona. We did everything we could, but we also made mistakes,” Jonker is honest.

Telstar – Young Utrecht
Telstar will play the last home game of the season on Friday. Goalkeeper Ronald Koeman Jr. is not fit yet. Reserve keeper Abdel El Ouazzane also had complaints this week, so it is not yet known who will be on goal on Friday. Randy Wolters has been suspended for four games and therefore not from the game.
Telstar is in sixteenth place. Jong AZ is in fifteenth place with four points. Yet trainer Andries Jonker is combative. “We always look up. We can get four points from two games and so we look up.”
