Telstar striker Glynor Plet finally scores again: “It has often been dry for a while”

After six games without a goal, Glynor Plet fired again with live aim. The Telstar attacker made the 2-0 against Roda JC from the penalty spot. Last week Christo Giousis scored against Jong PSV from eleven meters, but the 35-year-old Plet made it clear tonight that he is at the top of the list.

Glynor Plet will now take the penalties again at Telstar – NHSport/Edward Dekker

At the beginning of this season, Plet was also the man who took the penalty against Helmond Sport (2-1). All the more striking that he left that to the Greek last week. “I gave him that one, but I did let him know that I’d like to take the next one,” Plet explains the hierarchy. For Plet it was only his third goal of the season.

The joy about getting the three points against the number five in the ranking was great. Also with trainer Mike Snoei who thought that Telstar had played one of the best games of the season.

According to Mike Snoei, Telstar played the best game of the season against Roda JC – NH Sport/Edward Dekker

“This was a very nice first half and that should become the standard. It will be difficult, but the boys should not settle for less,” said Snoei, who sees his team climb from thirteenth to eleventh place.

Royal HFC Out

On Tuesday, Telstar will visit Royal HFC in the first round of the KNVB cup tournament. Four years ago, the Velsenaren almost flew out against the second division team. Snoei : “I would have liked to have given the boys two days off, but I really want a cup round further. If we achieve the maximum, we are better than HFC. If we reduce it by twenty percent, it will be super tough there.”
