Telstar has strengthened itself with Greek footballer Christos Giousis of AEK Athens. The footballer has signed with the team of trainer Mike Snoei for two years.
“He prefers to play in the number 10 position behind the strikers. In principle, the selection is now complete,” says Snoei. Last season Giousis had a good season with the second team of AEK Athens. He then scored seventeen times for the Greeks.
Prune has seen the player himself in action. AEK Athene was in the Netherlands during the preparation this summer and played a number of exhibition games. Giousis then joined the first team AEK Athens. During those matches, the attacker was well received by the Telstar trainer.
Not eligible to play
The new addition will not make minutes against Helmond Sport on Friday, because he is not yet eligible to play. AEK Athens completed the transfer too late, which means that he will probably make his first minutes against De Graafschap next Thursday.
The match between Helmond – Sport and Telstar on Friday and the match between Telstar and De Graafschap next Thursday can be heard live on NH Sport.
