Quinten van den Heerik has signed his first contract as a professional football player. The 21-year-old attacker signs until the summer of 2024. Last season, Van den Heerik played eight games in the first team of De Witte Leeuwen and was of great value in the last league match.
Last season, Van den Heerik mainly played his matches in the Telstar Under-21. There he ran more than one on one with 14 goals in 13 games. He regularly sat on the bench with the first. He reached his peak in the last league game of the season. As a substitute, he personally shot Telstar to a 2-1 victory over NAC Breda. As a result, the people of Velsen still ended up in the left row.
Technical manager Peter Hofstede sees another player break through at Telstar. “Quinten seized the opportunity last summer to develop further at Telstar. In the course of the season, he has increasingly profiled himself, culminating, of course, in his two goals against NAC Breda on the final day of the competition. We are very pleased that Quinten, and also other players who started on an amateur basis, show so much progress and thus enforce a professional contract.”
