Telstar ready for change: clear language from trainer Mike Snoei after empty infirmary

Telstar had a bad first half of the season. With only fourteen points from twenty matches, only TOP Oss is in the first division under the team of coach Mike Snoei. “We have some things to prove now that the group is a bit larger,” Snoei is clear.

Telstar had an overcrowded infirmary in recent months. It’s pretty empty now. Only Mees Kaandorp and Robin Polley are not yet fit for Friday’s match against Jong AZ.

It is not yet entirely clear whether Snoei will change course. “When a group becomes more complete, you have more choice,” Snoei answered when asked whether he would do things differently.

Youssef El Kachati, Tom Overtoom, Yaël Liesdek and Jay Kruiver are fit again. Defender Peter Guinari was also added to the selection this week. On the other hand, there is the departure of Sebbe Augustijns and Lassana Faye. “There is no excuse for a full infirmary, because it is empty. We do have to give those boys some time, but we all have to accelerate.

Grumbling

Some Telstar fans already see the season as lost, but Snoei wants nothing to do with that. “You always have people who are very disappointed. We were too. For a long time the people really supported the team. In the end it did indeed become less so. We had a good excuse, but we now have to prove ourselves.”
