Telstar today presented its new away shirt for the 2022/23 season. The White Lions will play their away games in a dark gray shirt with a checker plate structure. The first divisionist from Velsen-Zuid was inspired by the connection with Tata Steel and the region.
According to general manager Pieter de Waard of Telstar, the new shirt is a boost to the employees of Tata Steel. “The world needs clean or ‘green’ steel in a clean environment, Tata Steel can provide that. We recognize with our new away shirt the people who contribute to that transformation. They deserve a helping hand.”
New season
Telstar is currently busy preparing for the new season. The team of trainer Mike Snoei won a practice match against FC Lisse 2-0 on Tuesday evening. The next game is scheduled for next Saturday. Willem II is the opponent in Loon op Zand.
The new season in the first division starts for Telstar on Monday 8 August with an away match against Jong Ajax.
