Telstar did not manage to take three points against FC Dordrecht. After fifty seconds, the Sheep Heads already took the lead, but the White Lions fought back well. In the end it was 2-2 in Velsen-Zuid.
Before all the supporters had found their place, the ball was already in the net. Jaymillo Pinas knocked Ronald Koeman Jr. after fifty seconds. in the short corner. Telstar’s goalkeeper did not look good. Incidentally, that was the first time since 2014 that FC Dordrecht scored at Telstar. That good feeling could quickly go back into the trash, because Tom Overtoom shot brilliantly: 1-1. His first goal in almost four years.
In the opening phase, the White Lions even took the lead via Glynor Plet. It was his seventh goal against Dordrecht in his career. Christos Giousis was the informant and a few minutes later also had a chance. His effort was tapped just over the goal by goalkeeper Liam Bossin. From a wonderful pass by Anouar El Azzouzi, Pinas made his second goal of the evening before half time: 2-2.
Plenty of chances, no hits
Goal scorer Plet stayed behind in the dressing room and was replaced by Yahya Boussakou. He also had a good chance moments later, but his shot went just wide. A few minutes later Jonathan Mulder sent Giousis deep and the Greek only towards the keeper. It was not possible, because the sheepheads intervened in time. The White Lions kept searching diligently for a goal and got a header chance via Mulder. He hit the post from a corner.
Dordrecht only became dangerous in the counterpunch via Jari Schuurman. He shot a free kick hard towards Koeman, but he was able to save. Both teams didn’t have any significant chances after this, meaning the score remained level. Telstar is in joint tenth place with Jong PSV and NAC Breda due to the draw. Both teams have a better goal difference. Next week the Velsenaren will play against competitor NAC.
