The KNVB has announced the schedule for the second round of the KNVB Cup. Ajax, AZ, FC Volendam and Telstar are still in the race for the cup and now know when to take action. The matches in the second round will be played on January 10, 11 and 12, 2023.
Telstar opens the ball with an away match in Enschede. The Velsenaren play on Tuesday 10 January at 6.45 pm in the Grolsch Veste against FC Twente. In the previous round, De White Lions just too strong for Royal HFC (1-2).
On Wednesday, the cup matches of the North Holland Eredivisie clubs are on the program. AZ will visit Excelsior at 6.45 pm. Last Sunday the team of trainer Pascal Jansen lost 2-1 to the Kralingers. FC Volendam will play the away match against sc Heerenveen at 8 p.m. and Ajax will visit FC Den Bosch on Wednesday at 9 p.m.
Change AZ and Ajax
Due to the cup program, the match between sc Heerenveen and AZ will be moved one day. Initially, the game was scheduled for Friday, January 13 at 8 PM, but will now be played on Saturday, January 14 at 6:45 PM. The Ajax – FC Twente match will be postponed by an hour. The start time of the game on Saturday, January 14, will be from 8 PM to 9 PM.
