Telstar gets more options in the front with rented Volendam striker Koen Blommestijn

Koen Blommestijn will play on a rental basis at Telstar next season. The 22-year-old striker comes over from FC Volendam, where he could count on little playing time this season. With Blommestijn, Telstar has one of the desired reinforcements in the vanguard.

Trainer Mike Snoei recently indicated that the line-up was already thin and that the Velsenaren were quite dependent on Glynor Plet. Due to the arrival of Henk Veerman and the stay of striker Robert Mühren, the chance of playing minutes had become very small in the fishing village.

Blommestijn played three matches in the first team of FC Volendam last season. In it he scored once and that was against De Graafschap. He mainly played his matches at Jong FC Volendam in the second division. In the competition, he was accurate twenty times for the U23 team.
