Telecinco strikes down ‘Café con aroma de mujer’, which has spent more time with promotions than on broadcast

‘Woman-fragranced coffee’ says goodbye to the afternoons of Telecinco. Mediaset has decided to suddenly withdraw the soap opera, according to information to which YOTELE has had access. Thus, the curious paradox arises that it has spent more time promoting itself (almost a month and a half) than broadcasting.

Today, Friday, will be the last day that it will be broadcast in the evening slot of the group’s main chain after having been broadcast for only two weeks, a period in which it has had very poor audience data, which have been around 7% screen sharebeing surpassed by the rest of the main chains.

Predictably, the series starring William Levy will now emigrate to another of the television channels of the group chaired by Borja Prado. It is taken for granted that Divinity will be the new home of the fiction that has triumphed worldwide through Netflixalthough it is not ruled out that it ends up at dawn on Telecinco, as happened with ‘Passion of Hawks’another failed commitment to soap operas.

As of Monday, November 21, the directors of Telecinco have not broken their heads too much and will resort, once again, to ‘Save me’ to cover the gap that they cannot solve since the loss of ‘Pass word’.

However, Mediaset will try again in the coming weeks with two new daily contests, ’25 words’ with Christian Gálvez (which is already being recorded) and ‘Chain reaction’, led by Ion Aramendiwhose start-up was already considered more than a year ago with Paul Chiapella as a presenter, as announced exclusively by YOTELE.
