A 15-year-old boy was arrested in Breda on Thursday evening after he tried to pull a motorcycle cop off his motorcycle. A 17-year-old boy has also been arrested for trying to cut off the officer with his scooter.
The officer saw the boys riding a scooter on Terheijdenseweg around eight o’clock. He went after them because neither of the boys were wearing helmets when they were required to. The owner of the moped had also been caught driving without a driver’s license before.
Off like a hare
When they saw the cop going after them, the teens ran off like a hare. The moment the officer came alongside, he was roughly cut off by the scooter rider. When he did manage to drive alongside the two, the 15-year-old boy grabbed him by his jacket and tried to pull him over.
The scooter rider initially managed to escape through a narrow firebreak, but a short time later the two were still arrested at home.
The teenagers received fines for the various offenses they committed and they are also charged with attempted aggravated assault against the officer.
Eindhoven
A week and a half ago, it was also hit in Eindhoven, where a cop was kicked off his motorcycle by a 15-year-old boy during a chase.
