Professional cyclist Magnus Sheffield from the USA has won the 62nd Brabant arrow.
The 19-year-old climber from the Ineos Grenadiers team prevailed in the dress rehearsal for Paris-Roubaix on Sunday after 205.1 km in Overijse, Belgium, ahead of Frenchman Benoit Cosnefroy (AG2R) and Tim Wellens (Belgium/Lotto-Soudal).
Cosnefroy finished second in the Amstel Gold Race behind Sheffield’s Polish team-mate Michal Kwiatkowski on Sunday after a razor-thin decision based on the finish photo.
The German professionals around Roubaix hope Nils Politt (Bora-hansgrohe) could not place in the front field on Wednesday.
