The most famous remote highway in the US, Route 66, suddenly became a runway this week. Brock Peters, 18, who just got his pilot’s license, gave his grandmother and two cousins a flight for New Year’s. A nice gift, wasn’t it that the plane’s engine failed while the plane hung more than a mile in the air. Miraculously, the teenager managed to land the plane.
