The victim, a young person from Diemen (North Holland), had plans to go to the fair with friends. They may have had an altercation with another group of young people near a catering business. A scuffle allegedly led to the blow to the head, which was dealt around 5:30 p.m.
The victim had to be taken to hospital for treatment, but the suspect fled. The police did have CCTV footage of him. Around 7:30 p.m., the police saw him walking down the street, after which he ran. A little later, the teenager was still arrested.
