In a Slovakian high school, a teenager has injured two classmates with an ax and threatened several others. Police have announced. The services speak of “horrible scenes”. The perpetrator was arrested.
The boy himself went to technical school in the city of Nováky, where the drama took place. Police opened an investigation into the murder attempts.
According to local media, the suspected 16-year-old perpetrator had entered the building with an ax shortly after the start of the school day. The first victim was slightly injured. Then the perpetrator hit a girl directly on the forehead with the axe. The classmate is not in mortal danger.
The perpetrator then ran out of the school building and was apprehended by police about 500 meters away. The headmistress of the school indicates that psychological help is offered to both students and teachers.
