A hockey legend Teemu Selänne published a couple of pictures in honor of Finland’s Independence Day In the Instagram Stories section.
In the first shot, Selänne wishes everyone a happy Independence Day. The picture shows the Finnish flag and two blue and white candles in front of the window.
In the last update, Selänne quotes Adolf Ehrnroothwho was a Finnish infantry general and later a prominent advocate for war veterans.
– Finland is a good country. It is the best for us Finns. It is a country worth defending. And its only defender is Finland’s own people.
Ehrnrooth died on February 26, 2004. The man was 99 years old at the time.
