PDO
the BBC according to information, the former Huddersfield manager David Wagner would take over Norwich this week.
Wagner did a great job at the helm of the Terriers, lifting the small club to the Premier League in 2017. Now the challenge is at least as big, because Norwich has fallen frighteningly far from the top of the Championship.
Previous manager of the Canaries Dean Smith got fired right after Christmas, but the result curve has not turned, and the team is currently only in 11th place. It has only got one draw point from the last four matches.
The difference in the place of the direct riser has grown to no less than 15 points. However, there are only three points away from the playoff spot.
Wagner is the Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s close friend. The two played at the same time in Mainz and then continued to work together in Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.
After his defeat in the Premier League, Wagner tested the strength of his wings in Schalke and the Swiss club Young Boys.
He is tied to Norwich by the club’s sporting director Stuart Webberwho played the same role in Huddersfield.
Wagner, 51, is expected to lead Norwich as early as this weekend when they face Blackburn in the FA Cup.
