Technoboost stimulates young people with technology
Yesterday the primary schools came by, this morning it was the turn of the fifth year from secondary school. Stimulating young people for a job in the technical or technological sector. That’s what Technoboost is all about.
“Technoboost is a collaboration of 10 partners who want to make students enthusiastic about techniques, technology,” explains Valerie Deleersnyder. "
We have companies from the construction sector, from the plastics sector, electricity, mechanics, textiles and food.”
At technoboost, students can, for example, take a course with a small drone, but also learn how important ergonomics are in the construction sector. It remains important to get young people ‘enthusiastic’ for a technical profession at an early age. Because the demand for workers is high, the company Gearcraft from Waregem also says: “We are looking for well-trained profiles every day. Which is very tight. It is really a battle between the companies to find someone.”
