Telstar has extended the contract with technical manager Peter Hofstede for 2.5 years. As a result, Hofstede is fixed at the White Lions until the summer of 2025.
Since last summer, Hofstede has held the position ad interim. After the departure of Andries Jonker, who acted as coach and technical director at Telstar, Hofstede was appointed.
“I appreciate the confidence of the club management that I can continue on the same path in the coming seasons,” Hofstede said in a press release. “There is a good basis and therefore a great challenge to develop further in the technical field in the coming years, both inside and outside the lines.”
“Hofstede is a professional and knows what scoring means from his career as a player,” said general manager Pieter de Waard. “We are pleased that Telstar has been able to secure him for the longer term.”
Last week, the contract of trainer Mike Snoei was also extended. The trainer is stationed in Velsen-Zuid until mid-2024.
