The NS is currently struggling with a large-scale technical failure. Rail carrier trains will not run until at least 5:00 PM, this is how the organization announces on its website† NS is calling on people who want to use NS trains to postpone their journey. Travelers already en route are urged to look for “other travel options”.
Due to the malfunction, the NS cannot provide “any information” at stations, according to the website. “We are working hard on recovery, but unfortunately it is not yet possible to say how long this situation will last,” said the NS.
Trains do run on the routes of other regional carriers. No current travel information can be given about this either, the NS reports. A spokesperson says that the NS will probably not use buses, because the capacity of trains cannot be absorbed by transport by bus.
