TeamViewer boss Steil: "See Asia as a key market"

€uro am Sonntag: In 2022 you want to iron out the dip in performance from the previous year and drive profitable growth. Do you also have a regional focus?

Oliver Steep: We are already active in the markets that have the greatest potential for us. Our focus is on growing our business there. The Asia-Pacific region is one of our most important growth markets. Here we saw a clear momentum in the fourth quarter with 31 percent, which we want to build on. We are also growing significantly in the Americas region, particularly in the enterprise segment. At the same time, our historic core market, in particular Europe and the Middle East, remains stable with double-digit growth rates.

Are acquisitions also on the agenda?
We are well positioned and, thanks to our recent acquisitions, we can offer digitalization solutions along the entire value chain. Our goals for the near future are aimed at organic growth, acquisitions are not on the radar in the short term. But should an opportunity arise later in the year to accelerate our growth, we are of course open to it. Our capital structure offers sufficient flexibility for this.

They have announced share buybacks. Is a dividend payment also conceivable?
With our financing structure and high cash flow, we can let our shareholders participate directly in the success through the buyback program. Therefore, we are currently not considering a dividend. In return, we retain strategic flexibility for our growth strategy. In addition, we intend to continue to deliver the announced results quarter after quarter.
