Boontje comes for his paycheck? Yes, says Camp Meiland. The TV family’s resident biographer, Jan Dijkgraaf, is having fun with some spicy gossip about Wilfred Genee. “This is just karma.”
There was still one thing missing when Wilfred Genee had spicy food two weeks ago sleaze and dirt about Martien Meiland in his program Today Inside: a Starbucks cup with a straw out of it. The presenter has ensured that the reality star is now not only associated with scarves and wine, but also with rough parking lot adventures.
Wilfred gossip
Jan Dijkgraaf, the biographer of the Meilandjes, thinks Wilfred is an incredible gossip. He is therefore quite amused that Wilfred is the main subject in the latest episode Gossip Talk. “Is it now the gossip journalist Wilfred Genee’s turn on Roddelpraat? Karma!”, he writes on X.
Yes, Wilfred is having a lot of fun. But that is of course not the first time. In the past, presenter Dennis Schouten had a very intimate bond with Wilfred, who took care of him as a mentor. However, that ultimately went wrong and nowadays the two can no longer communicate or see each other.
Drink
Dennis named the latest episode of RoddelPraat after his former comrade: ‘Wilfred Genee is getting a divorce.’ Co-host Jan Roos: “It hasn’t been much fun at home for a while.”
Dennis himself says: “When I was there, not last Christmas but the Christmas before, it wasn’t that fun, because Wilfred wasn’t allowed to drink. Lili had to go to bed first before Wilfred and I could have a drink. After that, the contact between me and Wilfred decreased somewhat, but the relationship was already difficult at that time.”
‘It’s messing around’
Jan states that Wilfred’s marriage has become saltless. “Things have not been going well between Wilfred alias De Ladyshave and Lilliputti for a long time. It’s messing around and what does that have to do with? It’s very simple: if you’ve been together for a long time, things become less exciting in the bedroom.”
Dennis: “They have had a platonic relationship for a long time.”
Jan: “We have of course already made it public once that our Wilfred was cheating with a then tenant of a building he owned in Amsterdam.”
Leak like a basket
And now Wilfred and his wife’s marriage would collapse. Jan: “We have someone who works at Veronica Offside and is as leaky as a post and who says that Wilfred Genee is cheating again. The marriage is almost entirely in shambles, confirmed by Veronica.”
It is reliable, Dennis concludes. “Today Inside and Veronica Offside do not have the same editorial staff and Veronica Offside has someone who is in contact with us from time to time.”
