Team Assen braves the Alpe d’Huez; don’t miss a moment

The big day is here! 140 students and supervisors from various secondary schools in Assen go up the Alpe d’Huez on behalf of Team Assen to collect as much money as possible for cancer research.

Under the motto ‘Giving up is not an option’, the participants cycle, walk or walk up and down the mountain a maximum of six times. RTV Drenthe is there, so you don’t have to miss a minute. Because from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. you can watch the journey on this site and in the app via a live stream in which thousands of participants brave the French mountain.

In addition to the live stream, we will keep you informed of impressive personal stories throughout the day, and of course the interim status of the total proceeds. Our reporter Esmée Söllner traveled with Team Assen and closely follows the group’s activities.

At the moment, the counter stands at almost 12 million euros in donations. The students and supervisors of Team Assen have trained extensively and have already been able to get used to the French conditions in recent days. In short, they are ready and with us you don’t have to miss a moment of Alpe d’HuZes.
