At the moment we can only speculate about this, as neither Taylor Swift nor the royals have made any more precise statements.
Royal line-up = real challenge
According to reports, Taylor Swift was not the only star who turned down a coronation concert: Elton John, the Spice Girls, Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran and Adele also said “no” to the concert request. According to Omid Scobie, putting together the line-up was a real challenge.
Finally, musical greats were found to end the coronation weekend with a show on May 7th. Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli and Take That performed at the concert in London.
First coronation concert in history
The coronation concert in front of Windsor Castle was the first of its kind in British history. The organizers tried to include artists from across the Commonwealth. A choir of groups from all over the world was put together, which was heard by Steve Winwood interpreting his hit “Higher Love”. A highlight of the evening was also the orchestral version of Katy Perry’s hit “Roar”.
Taylor Swift will continue traveling around the world with the “Eras” tour in 2024 and will also make a stop in Germany. You can find information about the Germany shows and tickets here.
