Taxi ride from European airport on average 10% more expensive | Money

This is apparent from research by airport info.nl, which looked at the websites of various airports or tourist services. The fifty busiest airports in Europe are included.

A ride from Schiphol to the center of Amsterdam is fairly expensive at €55, but the price (according to amsterdam.nl) has not changed compared to 2021. However, compared to 2020, when the tourist still paid about €45. In many other European cities, the higher fuel costs have already been calculated: on average it has become about 10% more expensive and the traveler has to pay €45.

London most expensive

There is, of course, a difference between airports. If you take a taxi at London Stansted to the center of the British capital, you will pay about €118. Van Luton (€112) and Gatwick (€107) aren’t much cheaper. The traveler who wants to visit the fashion city of Milan should also dig into their pockets: from Bergamo you pay about €110, and from Malpensa €104. The price per kilometer is the highest in Geneva, where a ride of only 6 kilometers has to pay €41.

Travelers who fly to Antalya will find the cheapest ride: for just €5 you are in the center of the Turkish seaside resort. At €7, Izmir is not much more expensive and a taxi in Warsaw is also quite cheap with about €11. Although you can of course still get a higher price on the spot than the ‘official taxi price’.
