Tax plan 2023: tax on labor and wealth more balanced

Today, the Rutte IV cabinet presented the Tax Plan 2023 package to the House of Representatives. This includes an important part of the support for purchasing power (more than € 17 billion). This is important in view of the sharp rise in prices, especially for energy. At the same time, this package makes work more rewarding, by bringing the taxes on labor and the taxes on capital more into balance. For example, the employed person’s tax credit is increased and the rate in the first bracket of income tax is reduced. Companies will pay more corporation tax on their profits and there will be an accelerated phasing out of the self-employed deduction.
