In order to accommodate entrepreneurs and companies, the cabinet has decided to extend the deferral of payment of taxes until 31 March 2022. The postponement ended differently on 31 January 2022 and is now back in line with the duration of the other measures from the support package.
Deferment of payment remains available for those entrepreneurs who still need this due to the permanent corona measures and offers them extra financial space. Currently, more than 264,000 entrepreneurs have a total outstanding tax debt of 18.7 billion euros. In total, more than 380,000 entrepreneurs have made use of the deferral of payment.
Entrepreneurs who already make use of the postponement do not need to take any action. Entrepreneurs who have not previously made use of the postponement or who have already fully repaid their outstanding debt can apply until 31 March 2022. request deferment of payment. The postponement applies to taxes with a payment deadline before April 1, 2022.
During the period of the mandatory closure, gyms have offered online sports lessons. To accommodate the gyms, the cabinet will also retroactively reintroduce the reduced VAT rate on online sports lessons for the period from November 28, 2021 to January 14, 2022.
