Actor Axel Milberg (66) will not mourn his role as Kiel “Tatort” commissioner Klaus Borowski.

“No, I will definitely not miss Borowski,” said the native of Kiel to the editorial network Germany (RND) about his announced exit from the ARD crime series. “I would miss it if that were the end of my professional life.” Milberg will be seen on television for the last time in the role in 2025.

He is looking forward to new time and new film projects, Milberg told RND. “The “crime scene” is of course blocked for three or four months a year. “It’s not just the two five-week shoots, but also weeks of book development, dress rehearsals, director talks and a thousand other things.”

He had lived in hotels for more than three years just for the “crime scene”. At the same time, Milberg described the role, which made him known throughout Germany, as “a great gift”.
