President Tarja Halonen was a guest in the evening’s Elämäni biisi episode.

Saturday The song of my life the guests were a musician Eeva Kontuthe president Tarja Haloneneditor Salla Nazarenkodesigner Stefan Lindfors and conductor Come on Almila.

It turned out to be Halonen’s life song Ural rowan.

Halonen reveals that when her husband Pentti Arajärvi was earlier The song of my life as a guest in the season, he too had suggested that song as a choice.

Halonen says that Ural rowan was once a couple’s wedding song.

Halonen remembers the year 2000, when he became the president of the republic.

– I was a sworn cohabitant. Pena said then that if he got married, I would be his third wife, says Halonen.

However, the cohabitation caused gray hairs for the committee council.

– In the end, we were pardoned by the officials and we thought we were getting married.

However, the couple did not want a big wedding. When both children were all in Finland at the same time, Halonen and Arajärvi invited their loved ones together under the guise of a harvest party. Only the witnesses, Halonen’s daughter and Arajärvi’s son knew about the upcoming wedding.

The couple got married in a gazebo outside Mäntyniemi. The music was provided by Halonen’s security guards who could play, at the president’s request, of course.

– We went through those songs. Finally came Ural rowan. They said that maybe this would be called right away, Halonen recalls.
