Sand the fiscal maneuver on which we are working, has canceled many bonuses for 2024, the one on the Tari, i.e. the economic benefit that reduces waste spending for families in economic difficulty, it seems it will remain for a while. In fact, together with the water bonus and the electricity and gas bonus, the Tari discount is also part of the social bonus for families with low ISEE.
Tari Bonus, the waste tax decreases
The other measure it is nothing more than a discount applied automatically to families who have certain income requirements. To find out how it is managed, the amounts due and also the total exemptions, you must refer to your municipality of residence.
How does it work
From 2021, within the Social bonus, recognized automatically to those entitled who have a valid ISEE, the tax decree introduced the Tari bonus for families who find themselves in economic difficulty and with a low ISEE. Through this measure, thus, preferential tariff conditions were established recognized not only for domestic electricity, water and gas users, but also for waste.
Tari Bonus 2023, who is entitled to it
The requirements to obtain the discount are the same as those to access the social bonus, therefore the electricity, gas and water bonus, namely:
- family unit with ISEE up to 8,265 euros
- large families with ISEE up to 20,000 euros
- beneficiaries of citizenship income or pension
There is also the possibility of access payment installments for some particular situations:
- users who declare that they are beneficiaries of the social bonus for economic hardship provided for electricity, gas and water
- users who are in difficult economic conditions, identified according to the criteria defined by the competent local authority
- if the amount charged exceeds the average value of invoices issued in the last two years by 30%.
You don’t need to apply
The discount on waste tax is issued automatically, therefore it is not necessary to apply to receive the benefit. The benefit, in fact, is recognized to all those who fall within the ISEE limits described above. The only thing that is really important to see yourself get the bonus, is to have an ISEE with the required values and updated to the current year.
How much is the discount?
There is no one-size-fits-all amount, because the amount of the bonus depends on the municipality of residence. Local authorities decide the percentage of benefit to apply. For example, there are Municipalities that also provide total exemption from paying the tax if it falls within certain ISEE limits. Precisely for this reason it is necessary to consult the website of your municipality to understand what and how much you are entitled to.
