Targetman Henk Veerman probably starts the last trick at FC Volendam

Although Henk Veerman has already been presented at FC Volendam, the new acquisition was not yet on the field. The last paperwork still has to be paid and then the striker can really make his comeback on the training field at ‘his’ Volendam. “Only the changing rooms are still the same, but everything else is different,” says Veerman, who returns to De Dijk after seven years.

Veerman still followed the club closely in recent years. As a supporter, he sat in the stands and experienced the promotion up close. “That was magical,” says the tall striker. Despite the fact that Veerman knew at the time that the club had been promoted to the Eredivisie, he was not yet thinking of a transfer. “I was still the first striker at FC Utrecht at the time.”

Pair with Mühren

This summer, the Domstedelen brought in considerable competition with Bas Dost. Veerman then started to think and quickly came to the conclusion to return to Volendam. Bee The New Orange Veerman will be able to form a couple with Robert Mühren, who scored 29 goals in the first division last year. The two played together at FC Volendam in the past. “Then Robert played behind me.”

Volendam has several options in the attack. Trainer Wim Jonk mentions Henk Veerman, Robert Mühren, Lequincio Zeefuik, Koen Blommestijn and even Gaetano Oristanio as options in the point of the attack. Telstar is in talks with one of the reserve strikers Zeefuik and Blommestijn. “With his height, speed and power, Henk fits in well with our game,” says Jonk.
